Successful prolongation of the International Doctoral Program in RNA Biology!

International visibility and competitiveness of the faculty, the defined thematic focus, the good mix of different topics, as well as the strong performance and competence of the PhD students led to the enthusiastic support of the reviewers for the prolongation of this doctoral programme dedicated to the "hot topic" of RNA biology.
The program coordinator Andrea Barta announces the start of the second funding period – supported by the FWF with over 1,9 million euros and with additional 800.000 euros by the Medical University Vienna and University of Vienna.
With two new group leaders, Alwin Köhler and Ivo Hofacker, the DK RNA Biology now consists of 11 faculty members from MFPL, CeMM and IMBA hosting 16 PhD students. And thanks to the International MFPL PhD summer selection 2010 more PhD students will be arriving shortly.
