Erasmus at MFPL

The Erasmus program is a European Union student exchange program which supports student mobility within the EU. We offer three different types of placement: Erasmus, Erasmus Internship and Erasmus Mundus

Erasmus

Erasmus students are welcome at MFPL for one or two semesters. To qualify for a place, you must be a student at one of the partner universities for molecular biology of the University of Vienna.


We have partnerships with the Autonomous and the Complutense Universities of Madrid, the Comenius University in Bratislava, Masaryk University, the Public University of Navarre, the University of A Coruña, the University of Barcelona, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Milano-Bicocca and the University of Zagreb.


First, you need to arrange with your home university to be nominated for an Erasmus place in Vienna. You will also have to complete the formalities detailed here. The 20 available places are coordinated by Gerhard Wiche.

Erasmus Internships

To apply for an internship at MFPL, send a a CV and letter of motivation to Manuela Baccarini, who will inform inform you about placement availability.


Once your application is accepted, you can then apply for funding from your home university. Only placements of between 3 and 12 months can be financed.

Erasmus Mundus

We also offer placements for nationals of Bangladesh, China, India, Nepal and Pakistan through the Erasmus Mundus Europe Asia program. Placements can be from one to six semesters in length for PhD students. Please apply here. This progam is also coordinated by Manuela Baccarini.

MFPL Students

The information above is for incoming students to MFPL only. If you are an MFPL student who would like to apply for the Erasmus program, please consult the website of the University of Vienna or the Medical University as applicable.
