VBCF - Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities

The Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities GmbH (VBCF) is a publicly funded non-profit organisation to provide cutting edge research infrastructure in life sciences. VBCF was founded in 2011 in the vibrant surrounding of the Vienna Biocenter as a platform that integrates new technology and skilled experts and is open to all members of the Vienna Biocenter.

The VBCF is organized as a non-profit organization funded by a grant of the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research and the City of Vienna for ten years and is owned by the MFPL, our neighbors IMBA – Institute of Molecular Biotechnology and GMI – Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology as well as the Vienna Biocenter Association.

VBCF operates 12 scientific core facilities:
