Book release: “Data Mining Techniques for the Life Sciences"
In the book “Data Mining Techniques for the Life Sciences”, editors Oliviero Carugo and Frank Eisenhaber have selected contributions from various experts in the field of bioinformatics to give an insight into the state of the art of biomolecular databases and how to use them for “mining” new insights out of them.

New publication of the Seiser group in Molecular and Cellular Biology
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are chromatin-modifying enzymes that are involved in the regulation of proliferation, differentiation and development. The work by the Seiser group shows that HDAC1 reversibly regulates cellular proliferation and represses the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21 in embryonic stem cells.
